Bay Supply is an online marketing division of Bay Fastening Systems and an integral part of the Bay Marketing Network serving the Global Industrial Supply Marketplace.
Bay Fastening Systems (Bay) was founded in 1962 by Al Bernard; a pioneer in the engineered fastening and distribution business. It was a time when sales were conducted by walking the local streets to build customer relationships and Al was naturally, a great salesman.
The company established strong roots in Brooklyn, New York with a warehouse located in the basement below the small company office space. With Al’s commitment, Bay continued to grow until every possible space was filled. In 1996 Al moved his thriving business to Garden City, Long Island, NY.
The business was succeeded by Clifford Bernard (Al’s Son); an innovative thinker with the entrepreneurial spirit to continue the expansion of Bay’s business.
Cliff faced new challenges that forced him to change the business model for Bay Fastening Systems completely. The manufacturing community faced severe decline due to international free trade and relocation of U.S. based manufacturers to mid-western states. This resulted in a decline of prospective customers and a risk for the survival of Bay Fastening Systems.
Cliff realized that the survival of the business meant that large inventory and quick availability would be his key to success and he was committed to growing the business. Cliff shifted his focus to serving the supply chain needs of fellow distributors within the industrial supply industry.
In 2010, Bay started to reorganize operations by investing heavily in new technology to support and streamline operations. New operating systems were instituted and the company began data farming in anticipation of establishing one of the largest online resource portals for B2B ecommerce in the Industrial Supply Industry.
In 2012, Bay announced the launch of its online B2B business portal called Bay Supply. In Addition, Bay established relations with Distributors located around the world and consolidated the global organization under the Bay Marketing Network to serve partner manufacturers with global distribution for Industrial Products.
Bay Fastening Systems began offering “Blind Drop Ship Services” to fellow distributors and nearly 30 years later; Bay has become a well-known resource for engineered fasteners, tools, repairs and parts for Distributors throughout the USA.
In 2014, Bay purchased a new facility in Farmingdale, Long Island, NY; where we continue to operate today.
Our goal is to continue to grow the Bay Marketing Network with Bay Supply and continue to be a vital partner in supply logistics for Industrial Supply Distributors around the globe.
