Brighton-Best International, Inc. (BBI), established in 1925 as Brighton Screw Co., has evolved from a small screw manufacturer in Cincinnati into a global leader in the fastener and construction product distribution industry. Following its merger with Best Socket Screw in 1971 and subsequent expansions into international markets including Canada, the UK, Brazil, New Zealand, and Australia, BBI now operates 34 locations worldwide and serves over 7,000 distributors. Acquired in 2008 by a consortium led by Mr. Robert Shieh of Ta Chen International, the company has significantly broadened its portfolio, particularly with the 2013 acquisition of the Porteous Fastener Company, enhancing its construction market presence with the Proferred and U.S. Anchor brands. BBI's acquisition strategy continued with Ironclad Performance Wear in 2017, emphasizing high-performance, safety-oriented hand wear.
