Rotary set-up plugs are cylindrical tools that are used with rotary broaches to help improve accuracy during the broaching operation. They create indentations on a workpiece to stabilize a rotary broach as it starts to cut into the workpiece. Set-up plugs are installed on the tool holder of the machine before the broaching operation begins. These differ by size, plug diameter and depth of cut.
